Which paint by number is better for the first time?

Many novices will ask: Without the basis of painting, which paints by numbers is better for the first time? In fact, don't worry, as a pastime, it must be easy to use before it can be promoted. As for me, I do not recommend painting potted flowers, fishes, furry animals, versions that need to be color-coded by myself, and patterns that show meticulous details for the first time. Don't think that the smaller the picture, the more suitable for practice, in fact, the same pattern is enlarged and easier to draw. The grid is too big to worry about.

Patterns that need to be lined (mostly in characters and cartoons) require higher hand stability. These can actually be approximated by looking at the line density of the artwork on the canvas.

Here are pictures to show them separately.

First of all, let me put an animal paint by number triptych that I think is easier to paint and suitable for practice. This one has an inner frame, about 70, and about 35 colors. This is the first triptych I have painted. It has been a long time and I can’t remember. Qing, I didn't take a detailed picture at that time.

But it feels that the grid is relatively large and the paint is also very good. Since the light color is not too much (the white petal part and the background part are relatively light), it is okay to cover the numbers; and it can be hung up immediately after the painting is completed without the need to install the frame. Suitable for novices.

Flower paint by number is also very suitable for novices, no wonder many buyers use this one for display. There are about 24 colors of 40*50, many brands have this pattern, and it is very impressive to hang, just like the scenery seen from the window.

The disadvantage is that there are many light colors, so the number can not be covered up to 100%. The petals of the little white flower I painted should have been in two colors, but they are painted in the same color...

Dolphin paint by numbers, which is slightly more difficult, is a recently completed work. The blue part of the background is basically stress-free, but the thin lines and colors of the dolphin's head, water waves, and light and shadow are more difficult to cross.

Dolphin Paint By Numbers

This one is 30*40cm, 16 colors (8 basic colors + 8 colors adjusted by the manufacturer). It took 19 hours in total.

It would be a tragedy if you buy a version that needs to be graded by yourself.

It’s not that the color adjustment is difficult and troublesome. The problem is that every time the color is drawn, it is necessary to check which two colors are mixed together, and the amount of adjustment once may not be just right. If it is wasted, it may not be the next time. It can be used (few people can do it in one go, if it's dry, it can't be saved), but if it is not enough, you have to pick it out and adjust it again (the color maybe a little bit biased).

The biggest breakdown should be the post-retouching. For example, I found that the lines of the A color were not straight enough, so I looked at the color of the drawing; then I found that the B color should be supplemented in another place, and then looked at the drawing tone; the C color should also be supplemented, and the D color ...And then I found that B and C colors were used again. Looking back, the paint on the color palette was dry, and I had to pick out the colors from the paintbox and adjust...

Okay, after talking about the easy ones, let's talk about the difficult ones.

I don't think I started with small pieces. I have also painted small 10*15cm beams, and there are many lines that need to be outlined. When I first got it, I thought it would be easy, so I gave it to my 8-year-old cousin to paint. Who knows he painted in a mess (is this expected?!) The color block is painted, but the color block and the color block There are still quite a few gaps between them that are not filled in. So I took over, and then I realized that the difficulty is quite high!

First of all, the drawing board is smaller, and the details are also smaller. The small flowers and grasses have very tested the stability of the hand. The pen tip is a little heavier, and the flowers and grass can not be seen.

Secondly, there is a black border between the character and the background, can you see it? Children or novices will definitely find it difficult to draw this! I also drew a lot of strokes while holding my breath. Because the oil paint brush we use is not as a fountain pen, it can be painted to the end in one stroke, and if there is no paint in the middle, we need to re-dip the ink! It is easy to change the thickness or thickness of the line by re-dipping the ink and then dropping the pen.

Whale paint by numbers, 40*50cm, about 20 colors, it’s been too long to forget. At that time, I didn’t follow the detailed drawings, but the scales and fins of the fish were very impressive. The grids were very thin and there were a lot of transitions. There were 3 or 4 colors in a small area. You need to hold the drawing in one hand and the pen in the other. When painting, and the light must be very sufficient, and the eyes must be good.

Recently bought. No, you know the brand by looking at the artwork?

There are many others that are not of this brand, but they are all finished, there is no artwork to print, and there are many old mathematics masters on hand.

I'm not here to emphasize the brand, so I didn't mention the brand for each one. In fact, it is difficult to draw, just look at the artwork to know; as to whether the result is good or not, it depends on both the artwork and the paint.

"Mountain Creek", 40*50. I finished it before, so there is no blank artwork, so let's put a few details here. This brand has been painted twice. As mentioned in other posts, the lines are relatively smooth, there are many large color blocks, and the paint is smooth but easily uneven. It is more suitable for novices. Paint twice more and paint by Treat the number as two paintings, great value!
